Mridula's Paintings

Hey Folks! I am not a trained artist! I didn't know I have a penchant for arts and crafts till couple of years back. This self-realization started in India during holidays when our home was under construction. The wood work was going on and there were glass panes, wood and paint boxes all around the house. When I saw them, I thought why can't I do something useful instead of just lazing around watching TV.

I took a small square glass pane and drew a picture onto it with black paint (borrowed from the painters) and painted the back of the glass with white paint..Boom! that was my first glass painting ever!

Then I took almost couple of years break...was busy setting up my life and forgot all about this hobby. Then it re-surfaced couple of months back out of blue! Yes out of blue..I don't remember when it started again but I desperately wanted to pursue it. So I started painting again, and this time on whatever comes handy..Here comes my second glass painting, Shepherd and his wife...

and a third -- A Dancing Girl...
and this one, teluginti aadapaduchu..By the way I am super proud of the below painting :-)

Chinni Krishnudu with Yashoda...

and then Shirdi Saibaba painting for Kakuji who is an ardent devotee of Saibaba and a great family friend!

I tried my hand at some Canvas painting too whenever I got bored with glass painting... Bapu Bomma was the first one I tried on the canvas...

and then Shirdi Sai Baba to gift it to my another friend Rita Ji on her birthday!

I'll keep updating my work here... :-) Meanwhile, comments/compliments are most welcome! :-)
